decisions!!

so our 1979 house doesn't have any lights built into the ceiling for some strange reason, i guess they didn't do that back then. the exceptions are the kitchen, bathrooms, entry and dining room.  in all the other rooms we have been living with floor and table lamps.  it has been pretty inconvenient because the light isn't as bright as i'd like it to be in the rooms and because z goes after the lamps like me going after chocolate cake.  so we have been planning on having lights installed in the rooms.  in the living room, the ceiling is just a standard height, 8 feet i think, so we can't have anything that hangs down too low.  i scoured sites like wayfair, joss & main, overstock, and checked all my go to stores like target, world market, pier 1, home depot and lowe's.  i was looking for something that was a semi-flush or flush mount.  i just couldn't find anything i liked.  and i didn't want to get a boob light.  after months and months of looking and then deciding not to pick something out that i wasn't at least a little ok with, a few weeks back while hubs and i were at ikea and we stumbled upon the lighting section, and found these bad boys, which i didn't hate!

so we picked up two for the living room.  i want to get something like this for the dining room:

Then i chose this for our bedroom:

i have had my eye on this for awhile now

and we need something in the front living room.  the ceilings in there are very tall, at least at the apex.  it must be 18-20 feet maybe?  so i want to find something that doesn't look too small and something that hangs down the right length so that it doesn't look awkwardly close to the ceiling or way too low.  and we may only be installing one light in there, so i was thinking something that had a little bit of width to it.  i'm kind of stuck, there are a few that i like but i'm just not sure:

i like this one because it has some width to it so will take up a little more space.  it seems like it won't hang down too low or be too awkwardly high to the ceiling

i like this one, too, for similar reasons as above.  although it's a little bit smaller than the one above, i think it would still look good in that room.

i've had my eye on these styles, i think they are kind of fun.  but i don't like the lightbulbs used, although i could probably use a different style.  i also like that there are 6 lights in this chandalier.

this one looks so fun!  i love the 2 opposing quarterfoil like shapes and i like that the finish is a brushed gold rather than a shiny gold.

i like this one similar to the one that is up above.  i just don't think it's quite big enough.

i love love love this one.  i think it is so cool looking.  it's so unique, i've never seen anything like it.  but i'm so cheap, i don't know if i want to spend that much...

oh, and for some reference, here is a picture of the front living room.  this is a picture from the real estate listing, so none of this furniture and decor is ours, but it's the only picture i have that kind of shows the height of the ceiling apex.

and also for reference, i plan on painting this room a dark blue, almost like a navy color, with nice crisp, white trim and lots of pops of color.  this room will be a reading/relaxing room/office/playroom all in one.  these are some of the ideas that i have for this space:
