springtime yard

bear with me while i take you on a tour of our yard, i'm just so excited that things are finally sprouting and growing.  the past couple of days has been really sunny here so everything started to pop up.  it's amazing what sun can do!  check it out:

hard to tell but this area will have a stone path and on either side will be some flowering plants which are starting to grow now:

various herbs and chard and arugula:

last week hubby thatched the backyard to remove the moss, it was overtaking the grass.  then sprinkled some grass seed for "extreme shade" haha.  hopefully in a few weeks the grass will grow and be lush and verdant, but right now it looks terrible:

these have basil and chives and some other stuff that isn't growing very well :(
