mirror mirror on the wall

haha!  one more wall down, and one more to go.  i have been wondering what to do with the space above the fireplace for awhile now.  at first i thought it would be nice to have a really pretty round mirror there.  but all the ones that i liked were soooooooo expensive.  i am way too cheap to spend more than maybe $80 on a mirror.  then i saw on one of my favorite blogs, Bower Power, she put a grid of 4 mirrors up on the wall and i love the way it looked:

so i was thinking that i would do that.  but then, i couldn't find 4 same exact mirrors in the right size at a reasonable price.  so i didn't do anything for a long time and just kind of kept my eye out for some sort of mirror.  then a few days ago i stopped by homegoods, i haven't been there for awhile, and they had a whole bunch of new stuff there.  i seriously wanted to buy everything.  and they had such great mirrors!  it took me about 20 minutes to pick one out.  but i did!  at first i was thinking i would pick a mirror with a white or gold-ish frame, but then i thought that i should choose something a little more fun, a little different.  so i saw the one below, it was the right size, and i liked the color.  the blue actually plays off of some of the other blue accents in the room like the chairs, pillows, some of the blue in the rug, and the curtains.  and the taupe color on the edge of the frame is almost exactly the same color that's on the walls.  and the best part is that the mirror, which was normally over $100 (and trust me, i couldn't find a beveled mirror of this size for under $150), only cost $40!  wooohoooo!  i love homegoods!  anyway, here she is:

so now i just need to work on the gallery wall above the tv, and i'll be done decorating the living room.  except the mantle that i want to build and the ceiling light we need to have installed.

on another note, i went and got samples of the benjamin moore colors wedgewood gray and palladian blue color matched to valspar, to try on the front door.  i painted swatches on the inside of the door, but painted on paper and taped to the outside of the door (because our HOA won't allow us to paint without approval first).  i thought immediately that i prefer palladian blue, i loooove the color, and the lightness is exactly what i was looking for.  it looked perfect on the inside of the door.  but outside, palladian blue reads more green because it absorbs so much of the yellow of the house siding.  it just doesn't stand up as well to the bright yellow and so it's not even the color that i like.  inside, wedgewood gray looks great also, and outside it holds up better to the yellow siding.  it's a little darker than i wanted, but it needs to be in order to remain its true color.  plus, it has more gray undertones so i feel like it coordinates better with the gray porch.  so, wedgewood gray it is.  i'll be painting the inside and outside of the front door, and i think i will also paint the inside of the garage door.
wedgewood gray is on the left and palladian blue is on the right.  i looooove the palladian blue here.

sorry the exposure here is a little off because of the black door, but palladian blue is on the left and wedgewood gray is on the right.  you can see how green they both look, but how weak and washed out the palladian blue looks.
so, what do you guys think?  is it crazy to paint the door one color on the outside and a different color on the inside (i guess that's what is going on currently, but, that's another reason i'm repainting it).
