free nursery printables

so in the midst of planning the nursery and z's big boy room, i have been thinking about what kind of art/photos/etc to put up on their walls.  when i put together z's nursery, i used a few pictures, i framed some of the really cute cards that people gave for the baby shower, a random whale sticker that came with a gift, some fun scrapbook paper, stuff like that.  i will re-use some of that for z's room and for the baby's nursery, but want to put some new things on z's walls that are more for a toddler, and some fun new things for the nursery.  but we're on a budget, and so although there are a few things i have in mind for the nursery that cost money, i am not so sure i want to splurge.  anyway, i went on pinterest and searched on google for some free printables for a nursery or child's room.  and i found tons of stuff!  i went through a number of websites that offer free printables, and downloaded the ones i liked.  those that are jpgs, i submitted a print order through costco and those that were pdf's, i submitted a print order through kinkos/fedex.  and they all turned out great!  i'm so excited to get them framed and hung up.  i have some frames i will reuse, and then i plan on hitting up goodwill to find some frames i can refurb, which i have done a couple times before, and it's way less expensive than buying 20 new frames.  i just spray paint them or clean them up a little bit, and sometimes there are brand new frames there anyway, still in the wrapping for half the cost.  the printing at costco and kinkos cost around $12, so the project is very budget friendly.  anyway, here are some of my favorites:

so a lot of these websites have links to other websites with printables.  there's a ton out there!  just google or search pinterest for free printables and you'll find stuff.  there are even really fun vintage printables in all different categories including science, nature, history, geography, botanicals, whatever you can possibly think of.

oh, and i have ideas floating around in my head for diy nursery art that i saw on pinterest, so hopefully i will have time to get some of those things done and then i think i will have plenty of art to put on the kids' walls without breaking the bank.  love it!
