living room paint complete!

ok, so we finished painting the living room.  wooohoooo!  i actually really like the color even though it wasn't exactly the same as the revere pewter that i had color matched.  when there is more natural light the color looks more gray, sometimes it looks more greige and other times it has a green-gray hue, all of which i like in this room.  i just have one more wall of trim to touch up and then i will completely done painting this room.

don't mind the baby paraphernalia, just keeping it real

here you can see how different the color looks depending on what kind of light it is bathed in, the lamp or natural light

in these pictures the color looks a little different than in reality, but you get the idea

here is the before and after.  it's not a dramatic change, but i just wanted to make a subtle change since there isn't a ton of natural light in this room, but i did want it to feel cozy.  the top picture is the after and the bottom is the before.  haha, the more that i look at this picture the more it really doesn't look that different.  well, it looks different in real life so you'll just have to come over and check it out.

next up is re-tiling the fireplace and building a mantel, adding some picture ledges above the couch to hold frames, add a mirror grid above the fireplace and mantel that we will build, figure out something to do with the entertainment area (possibly mounting the tv on the wall and surround it by shelves?), and figure out what to do with the lighting situation.  currently we have a few floor lamps and there is one specifically that baby z rolls over to and tries to knock over.  oh, and we have to cover up the electrical cords because he is constantly rolling over to them and trying to play with and chew them.  what do you guys think about mounting a tv on the wall?  i won't mount it above the fireplace, but on the wall adjacent to it.  have any of y'all done that?  how is it working?
