exercise...blech!

i <3 It Works Defining Gel ! http://tiffinyreynoldswrap.myitworks.com

just kidding, i actually do like to workout, but usually by doing something fun like dancing or playing basketball or something.  but hubs and i have been doing this T25 program, i don't know if you've heard of it but i guess it's by the same people that put together P90X.  but this one is only 25 minutes a day, which is totally doable.  once z goes to bed, hubs and i drag each other into the living room to get the workout over with.  it involved a fair amount of swearing, sweating, and whining.  but it's so effective.  you can google it to get more info if you are interested but basically there are 5 different workouts that you cycle through in a given week; cardio, total body, lower body, abs, speed 1.0.  i think that's all of them, anyway each one focuses on something different and you work and work and work that target until you can't anymore.  it's awful.  but it works.  we have been doing it for going on 5 weeks now and i can already feel a difference in my body.  i'm getting stronger for sure.  i can see the muscles in my leg and abs now.  i have historically been fairly fit, going through phases of being more or less in shape depending in what was going on in my life, but when i started going to school almost full time and working full time a few years back, i just couldn't find the time to work out.  i really wanted to get into better shape before i got pregnant, but i didn't make it a priority, and so i lost a lot of muscle tone and strength. and then i got pregnant, and didn't really exercise much during those 9 months.  and then i had a baby and a new house and the only exercise i got was taking z for walks.  i really wanted to get back into shape, but less for vanity reasons and more just to get toned up again.  my back was hurting a lot and part of the reason was because my core was so atrophied from pregnancy and lack of exercise.  so, my main motivation was to strengthen my core.  a happy side effect is that my legs, arms and back are becoming much stronger and my endurance is increasing.  it's great!  i want to be for real about this whole situation though and state that usually after working out i eat toast and hubs and i eat a popsicle or a bowl of ice cream, but since i don't actually want to lose weight, i just want to strengthen my muscles, i don't really feel that bad about it.  anyway, i would recommend this exercise program to any of you out there looking.  it's only 25 minutes a day and it is super effective if you stick to it.  oh---it's time for me to eat my toast now!
