front entryway update
so i finally got the front entryway all together for now. i say for now because i'm sure i'll change it up several times over time, because i get bored when it looks the same for a long time. so after i put the cabinet in the entry there really wasn't room for the parsons chair that we had sitting there, so i simply moved it over in front of the door that we don't use, as our front door is actually a double door. then i added a round mirror over the cabinet to break up all the squares; square cabinet, square doors, square frames, etc. i leaned a tall frame against the wall as well as a framed card, set one of our orchids there and brought in a tray that we had and of course my newly painted vases. oh and don't mind the blank canvas, it's just a place holder for now, i plan on either changing it out with a framed photo or painting on it for some DIY art. the inside of the cabinet holds a couple of small bins that hold keys and stuff. i like to be able to use stuff that we already have on hand, since i'm trying to decorate up this house on a budget. so, the entryway decor really cost less than $200, around $150 or so, including the parsons chair i bought new. so, enough of the talking (typing?), here are the pics:
