32 weeks & family baby shower!

hi all.  (all 3 of you who read this, hahahaha).  the weather here in seattle has been absolutely beautiful the past several days and it just casts this net of happiness all over everything and everyone.  the weekend was wonderful, the weather was great, my in laws were in town and we went to my family baby shower.  my mom and my aunt organized the shower and it was fabulous.  it was so good to see family that i haven't seen for awhile and get everyone together.  yay, thanks everyone for your generous gifts!  my mom did such a good job with the decorations and activities and my aunt and cousin had a wonderful spread of food and desserts.  it was perfect.  here are a few shots of the celebration:

brother in law and his wife got us this mamaroo thingy
so it was a great shower, it was so much fun to see everyone and eat nummies, and baby got spoiled with gifts.  i have to say, everyone is so talented and i'm really impressed with and loving the handmade gifts.  so thank you all!  we love you!  also, the mamaroo is really crazy.  if you haven't seen it before, you should google a video of it.  it moves 5 different ways and is supposed to simulate the way a person sways and bounces when soothing a baby.  it's pretty high tech.  anyway, there will be another baby shower with my friends in 2 weeks and then i can really organize the nursery and get everything put away, and purchase the leftover stuffs that we need.  i have already started organizing baby's clothes in the dresser.  i may be starting to nest, is it too soon for that?  i really want to get the nursery all organized, set up and decorated, as well as a space in the kitchen for baby gadgets, organize the freezer and start making some freezer meals, organize the linen closet and make a baby bath time box that can be stored and carried between both bathrooms if needed.  there's lots of other things i want to organize as well, and i have a list of random cleaning duties i'd like to get done like spot clean the floors and clean the window sills, and a bunch of other random things.  my goal is to do one of those jobs per week.  so, as you can see i have lots of stuff to do.  on another note, i started having sciatica pain about 2 weeks ago or so and it was soooooooo painful!  it was making me extra waddle-y.  i went to my massage therapist today and it feels so much better.  hallelujah!  i can't believe that these weeks just keep flying by, and i only have about 8 weeks before baby boy's arrival!  i think we are getting closer to picking a name, too, which is exciting!  alright, well, here is the weekly update:

How far along: 32 weeks
Size of baby: the size of a squash, or honeydew, he weighs about 2.5-2.8 lbs and is about 15.2-16.7 inches long, baby has toenails, fingernails, real hair and his skin is becoming soft, smooth and less transluscent
Total weight gain: about 23 lbs
Maternity clothes: yes, and still trying to squeeze into larger shirts and tunics with stretchy pants
Gender: boy
Movement: there are days when he doesn't move that much and days when he moves all the time with lots of force, it definitely feels like he's getting cramped in there and he still sticks out his butt and feet, also it's really crazy to see my entire belly move as he rolls across it, and it feels weird too
Sleep: interrupted by having to pee, heartburn and being uncomfortable
What I miss: being able to walk without panting
Cravings: orange juice, wheat bread, kiwi fruit, chocolate cake
Symptoms:
had a 5 day headache this past week which was irritating, heartburn of course, sciatic nerve pain, emotions due to hormones (this really happens), pregnancy brain, etc, etc, etc
Best moment this week:  finding out my brother and his lady are having one boy and one girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  we knew they were having twins, but just found out the gender.  woohooooooooo!  how perfect!  also, the baby shower, spending time with family, having all my in-laws up to visit and spending time with them
