34 weeks, organizing and baby shower

well, it's that time again.  time for yet another midterm.  but the last one until finals, because there is only 2.5 more weeks left of school.  woooohooooo!  so, this will be a short post (maybe...???).  so this past weekend my best friend hosted a second baby shower that was amazing.  lots of my wonderful friends were there, and afterwards i just couldn't help but get a little teary eyed and emotional thinking about how generous my friends and family are.  we received too many amazing gifts to catalog them all here, although i did enter them into my spreadsheet to keep track of what we have and what we still need, because i'm a huge nerd.  but anyway, our friends and family are truly the best.  thanks everyone for your generosity and support.  we love you!!!!!  now, enough with sappy stuff.  after the baby shower, i immediately went home and showed hubby all the great stuff and started washing the clothes, etc, and putting everything away.  i noted what clothes we have for different ages and what we still need to get, and put them away nicely organized in their drawers.  i'm a little ocd, call it nesting, who knows.  but the nursery is coming together and we will be filling in the gaps of things we would like to get in the next few weeks.  i'm so excited for this little one's arrival!  and i can't wait to try out all the cool stuff we got on baby boy.  here are some shots of the baby shower and other stuffs:

in other super exciting news, i have crossed a couple other things off of my spring cleaning/nesting like crazy list, so that's good.  i feel like i'm getting bigger everyday, and obviously baby boy is, too.  i can't really wear my wedding rings anymore because my hands swell a bit, and i feel like i need a tow truck to get me out of bed or out of a chair, and i'm tired a lot but can't sleep, but other than that i have to say i'm lucky as far as this last trimester goes.  speaking of that, here is the preggie update:
How far along: 34 weeks
Size of baby: the size of a butternut squash or a small pumpkin, he weighs about 4.2-5.8 lbs and measures about 17.2-18.7 inches. he may be able to recognize songs (he definitely jumps when he hears loud noises like the garbage truck outside or if i drop something on the floor), and apparently he's urinating about a pint a day....hmmmm.  his immune system is developing and getting stronger and his bones are also hardening
Total weight gain:oh probably anywhere from 25-30 lbs
Maternity clothes: um, yea, i really don't have any "regular" clothes that fit me anymore, i feel like i will soon be moving onto hubby's clothes
Gender: boy
Movement: yup, although sometimes he doesn't move for a long time (which i read is normal since he is running out of room), but he continues to stick his foot and back out my side and squirms all over the place as well as getting the hiccups about 3-4 times at night when i'm trying to sleep.  i had hubby put his hands on my belly the other night because that usually makes the baby calm down, i needed a chance to fall asleep without this squirmy little guy playing soccer with my kidneys
Sleep: not too great right now
What I miss: being able to move around without grunting
Cravings: orange juice, blueberries, strawberries, pineapple---i can't get enough fruit right now, brownies, crushed ice
Symptoms:
pretty much the same as last week, still have congestion, a little swelling, some heartburn, i am having a harder time controlling my emotions because of all these hormones
Best moment this week: baby shower with wonderful friends, i finally got to see one of my friends' 5 week old baby boy!  one of my other best friends had her baby boy almost a week ago!!!  lots of stuff to be thankful for!
