living room vision
so i've been thinking about what project i want to work on next in the house. there are several things that i want to work on, like the closets and i want to finish the guest room. but i also want to finish the living room, especially since this is the room that we spend the most time in. i'm sure i'll be switching it out a little bit every now and then because that's how i roll. but for now we have the foundation and i just need to layer in some art and pillows and a mirror and some things of interest. here is a kind of mood board that includes elements that i'd like to add to the living room:
so, then the next thing i need to do is pick a paint color. i've kind of narrowed it down to two colors after doing some researching and paint swatch comparing and all that. the colors are both benjamin moore; either revere pewter or edgecomb gray. they are both very popular colors and they can work with virtually any other color. i like revere pewter because it is a nice greige color that looks either gray or beige-y depending on the time of day and light situation. it is a little darker than what's on the walls currently, so it will make the room look a little more cozy without being too dark. edgecomb gray is not really that gray, it's more beige-y. it's a shade lighter on the paint swatch card and is similar to the color on the wall now but with less yellow undertones. here are some examples, a little paint dot and then a room painted in the corresponding color:
so, what do y'all think? edgecomb gray or revere pewter?
