bathroom update day 5
but really it's been 10 days since we started, but because we have other parts of life happening we have only worked on the bathroom remodel for 5 days. last time i posted about this we were painting the walls, so i was able to get a second coat and touch up the ceiling with white. i love the color, it is exactly what i was aiming for and it is definitely so much better than the shocking, seizure inducing yellow. then over this past weekend hubby measured, cut and dry installed the cement board. nothing too exciting, so here are just a few pictures, but you can see the new wall color, which IS exciting.....at least to me.
so the next thing we need to do is undercut the door jam so that the tile and cement board will sit underneath it nicely, mix the mortar and spread on top of the subfloor so that we can install the cement board on the mortar and then screw the cement board to the subfloor. then tape and mortar the seams. then we can tile!!!!!!!!!!!!! eeeeeeeeee! i'm so excited for this tile. so maybe in a few days we can finish, perhaps on the weekend, we'll see. in the meantime i am looking for a vanity light that i like that is affordable.
