Go to sleep man!

little mister z was growing out of his existing sleep sack, he had a halo fleece swaddler sleep sack.  i decided to get a new one since it is easier than wrapping him up in a blanket, a little safer at this point since he is still in the SIDS risk age range and he can't kick off the sack in the middle of the night.  so there were a few different types that i was considering.  i wanted to try a different brand than halo.  so i saw that some people recommended woolino, Aden+Anais, and baby deedee to name a few.

i decided on the baby deedee because it was on amazon prime (I love my free 2 day shipping), it had good reviews and it is made from cotton comforter like material.  so it got delivered and it is a little big since i ordered the 6-18 month size, but it is great.  it feels comfy and cozy, is super easy to zip (it has a large zipper and zipper pull and the halo one i had was small and much more difficult to get zipped up on a wiggly baby) and there are snaps at the shoulders which makes it that much easier to get baby in and out of the sack.  and baby z will be able to use it for quite awhile.  and it really is like a little comfortor cocoon, just right, not super thick but not too thin by any means.  i really like it and recommend it to anyone with little ones.  oh and it was much more affordable than some of the other recommended brands out there.

so the title of this post relates to the fact that i have started transitioning baby z to his crib in his own room.  it has been about a week.  the first few nights were great and he slept from 9pm-6:30 or 7 am.  the last few nights have been rough i think because he is teething and so he is pretty cranky and uncomfortable and therefore waking up a few times during the night and just not sleeping well.  but i hope it all blows over soon.  i have read that sometimes when the babies go through growth spurts or teething or learning a new skill like walking, their sleep can change and be interrupted until they figure it out and get back to their usual sleep patterns. so let's hope that is soon because it sure is nice to have our room back!  have you guys transitioned your babies from your room (or bed) to their own?  how old were they and how did it go?
